Accuvet CO2 Laser

The slides below take you through a cat spay using our CO2 laser.
This slide shows the surgeon scrubbed in for a sterile surgical procedure. The patient has been surgically scrubbed and the incision area is visible through the slit in the sterile surgical drape.
| This slide shows a close up of the actual skin incision. Notice that the incision is COMPLETELY bloodless! The laser beam has cut through the skin without the surgeon actually touching the patients skin. |
| In this slide the skin and body wall has been cut with the laser and the ovaries and uterus of the patient have been exposed prior to removal. This slide is untouched, notice that there has been essentially no blood loss during the procedure. |
| The picture to the right shows the completed surgery just prior to final skin closure. Again you can see that there has been very little bleeding throughout the spay. The patient will awaken less painful because nerve endings in the skin have been sealed and less trauma to the skin. |
